How the site is funded

The recorder is free. Product links in the equipment guide are affiliate links: buying through them may earn this site a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Audiobook Recorder earns from qualifying purchases. There may also be an optional tip link after a passing export. No brand pays to be recommended.

What it checks, and what it can't

Exports are measured against ACX's published technical requirements: RMS loudness, peak level, noise floor, and the MP3 format (192 kbps CBR, 44.1 kHz), with room tone at the start and end. ACX also reviews audiobooks by ear for consistency, mouth noise, background sounds and outtakes, which no tool can fully check, so passing these measurements doesn't guarantee approval. Listen to every chapter before you upload.

Audiobook Recorder is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ACX, Audible or Amazon. ACX and Audible are trademarks of Audible, Inc. or its affiliates.
